This afternoon we laid my little girl down to rest and be at peace. It breaks my heart to know that I won’t ever be able to smell her, hold her, and love her with all I have ❤️ I rescued her 8 1/2 years ago but the truth is she rescued me. Because of her ability to always be there for me when others came and went, we formed a bond so strong- she was there for so many of my major life experiences, and I could always count on her to let me hug my feelings out and just snuggle with her. She taught me patience and responsibility at an age when I needed it most. And I am truly thankful for all of the amazing memories I have made with her not only in my favorite places but with some of my favorite people over the years. Rest In Peace my Charlie Bear, you will always be apart of the reason why I am who I am.
